Diwali Festivities at Jasmine

Join us as we light up the Indian New Year at Jasmine! Celebrate the Festival of Lights with fine Indian cuisine, henna tattoo artists, a DJ, and a performance from the SBU Thillana dance troupe. Reducing Prejudice: A Matter of Education

The mission of the Council for Prejudice Reduction is to advance equity and reduce prejudice in collaboration with public schools. Their 19th annual conference, "Reducing Prejudice: A Matter of Education" welcomes people from all groups, including:

  • Education: Administrators, Teachers, Support Staff, Counselors, Security officers, Parents; Community Leaders, Board Members
  • Other Leaders: Businss, Law, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Health, Mental Health, Policy, Government
  • College/Graduate Students: Education, Law, Social Work, Sociology, History, Policy, Political Science

The conference includes speakers from multiple fields, as well as hands-on workshops addressing issues such as bullying, classroom diversity, faith/religion and education, and mentoring strategies. For further details, click on the program and flier below.
