Vice President for Strategic Initiatives
Rosemaria (Rose) Martinelli provides leadership and facilitates progress on a core set of strategic initiatives and campus-wide projects, and oversees the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness.
With an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and more than 30 years of experience in higher education and higher education consulting, serving both public and private institutions, Rose brings a special blend of knowledge and expertise to help us navigate the challenges and opportunities facing higher education in 2020. She has held a variety of leadership roles, including as chief of staff to the executive vice president and provost at the University of Texas at Austin. She also served as senior director at Huron Consulting Group in the Higher Education Strategy and Operations practice and, before that, as associate dean at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
In addition to her MBA from Chicago Booth, Martinelli holds a BA in Music (voice), and a Master’s in Music (opera performance) from Northwestern University.
