- New business:
Goals for the 2015-2016 academic year. More involvement and pro-active action on pedestrian safety. Informative posters have been put up, but someone keeps taking them down and lack of consistency in the message. Paul suggests that our committee have a representative on the Hospital’s have a separate Environmental committee.
- Campus field trips and/or speakers
Have a walk through of areas of concern on campus, Green House, Power Plant, Recycling, Emergency Management.
- Re-energize previous initiatives:
Lake Briana. Ask John Robinson if he would like re-activate the Lake Briana initiative.
- General news
Self contained hydroponic garden being run by students seems to be a wonderful idea. Poll the membership come this September.
- New topics to consider
Traffic safety issues still a major concern. Bike paths being blocked by landscaping contractors.
- New members:
Paul has spoken with prospective departments on securing more involvement from those
areas where we have open positions. Do we appoint or have an election.
Liaisons, subcommittees, Hospital, FASPP, Campus Rec Center, Landscaping. Open for ideas!
Revisit the appointment of the new VP for facilities.
They were not very well attended if at all, we will revisit the subject later on in the year.
