The Undergraduate College of Leadership and Service (LDS) offers a community setting that integrates leadership development, social responsibility, and civic engagement. LDS supports students in their self-exploration and encourages them to create and participate in meaningful action and change. Through a variety of opportunities, LDS empowers students to cultivate a sense of purpose and become active and engaged citizens in their communities.

LDS seminars

LDS First-Year Seminars

The First-Year Seminar 101 is a 1-credit course that supports first-year students in their transition to University life - academically, personally, and socially. The course aims to foster a sense of belonging; promote curricular and co-curricular engagement; help students clarify their plan and purpose; and involve students in a dialogue on social responsibility and inclusion.

H-Quad

Each Undergraduate College is housed in a specific residential area called a quad, which includes a dedicated Center for seminars, programs, and activities. LDS is part of H-Quad.

Center for Leadership and Service

Each Undergraduate College is housed in a specific residential area called a quad, which includes a dedicated Center for seminars, programs, and activities. LDS is part of H-Quad and the Center includes a large multipurpose room with full audio-visual system and a conference room with smart board.

Leadership Development Academy

Leadership Development Academy

The Academy for Leadership Development gives students the opportunity to explore scholarly topics related to the theme of the Undergraduate College. The Academy is open to all undergraduate students and offers the Academic Minor in Leadership Development as well as certificate programs, Justice and Service (Just Serve), L.E.A.D. (Leadership Exploration and Development), and G.O.L.D. (Growth Opportunities in Leadership Development).
