SPECIAL EVENT PARKING

The Office of Mobility & Parking Services coordinates parking needs for all Stony Brook special events. If you are planning an event on campus, where you will require guest or event parking, please submit a Special Event Parking Request Form (linked below) to get started.

SUMMER SESSION PARKING

If you will be parking on campus during the Summer Session (May 20, 2023 through August 20, 2023), please make note that any vehicle parked on campus must display a parking permit (see details below). If you do not have a permit, please order a permit online.

Where to Park

Commuter Students

Valid parking locations will be as follows:

      • Any student commuter parking lot (standard or premium)
    • Residential zones 1 through 5 (zone 6 will remain as restricted to designated zone 6 permit holders)
    • Vehicles must display either a Commuter Standard Permit (from the 2022-23 academic year) or a Spring Commuter Premium Permit (from Spring 2023)
      Resident Students
      Students with a Residential Permit (from the 2022-23 academic year) may park in any residential parking zones 1 through 5 (zone 6 will remain as restricted to designated zone 6 permit holders).

Summer session parking begins on Saturday, May 20, 2023 and ends on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

WINTER SESSION PARKING

Commuter Students: During the winter session, commuter students may park in the following lots. Vehicles must  display a valid parking permit, either a Commuter Premium or Commuter Standard permit. 

Lots: 2, 3, 5, 6, 40, as well as resident student zones 1 through 5

Resident Students: Resident students must continue to park in their assigned zones.

Winter session parking begins the day after Fall Commencement and ends the day before the Spring semester.
