Parking Services
The Office of Parking Services is part of the Student Financial Services Office, which
is located in the 2nd floor of the Stony Brook Union, Suite 207. This office provides
information about parking, such as
how to obtain a parking permit, or information about
parking tickets and payments.
Premium parking lots have improved access by adding choices to the existing mix of parking. Additional short-term hourly spaces at meters and parking garages add flexibility and convenience when you visit areas in the center of campus. Please Note: possession of a parking pass or garage pass does not guarantee you a parking spot on campus. Passes only guarantee you access to certain designated parking areas. Our campus parking map provides an overview of these and other parking areas.

Please be sure to destroy the old permit or return it to Parking Services.
Please note that all outstanding parking fines must be paid in full before a renewal can be processed.
Parking Meters
Parking meters now exclusively accept credit or debit cards at all pay lot stations.
Garage Patrons Are Encouraged to Enroll in Payroll Parking Deduction
Sign-Up for Payroll Parking Deduction
All monthly parking garage card patrons are strongly encouraged to use payroll deduction to pay for garage services. Payroll deduction is the quickest and easiest way to pay for garage services. In order to enroll in payroll deduction, State and Research Foundation employees must download one of the Payroll Parking Deduction Authorization forms and follow the directions on the form.
Enrolling in payroll deduction allows State and Research Foundation employees the ability to deduct parking garage fees from their paycheck automatically and is the most convenient method of parking garage payment available.
