Internship Program

The Student Leadership Development Office offers 3 internships each semester. The CIP Student Coordinator intern and GYFTD Chair are required to be members of the Campus Involvement Project. 

Students are hired one semester in advance of the intended internship semester.

Marketing and Communications Internship - 12 Hours per week, 3 Academic Credits

Assist the CIP Coordinators and the Leadership Office with management of marketing and communications. This is a great opportunity for students interested in leadership, higher education, or project management.

  • Intern will create promotional materials such as posters, social media posts, and bulletin board designs for advertising purposes. 
  • Intern will help the Leadership office in marketing opportunities and creating testimonials on student success.
  • Intern will develop and execute marketing strategies to help plan, manage, and improve the marketing reach of the groups. 
  • Intern will manage the social media pages of CIP including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, SB Life, and the Leadership website

 

CIP Coordinator Internship - 12 Hours per week, 3 Academic Credits

The CIP Student Coordinator Intern is required to be a member of CIP. Their responsibility is to assist Leadership with management of the Campus Involvement Project through administrative functions, data entry and collection, scheduling appointments, managing events, and marketing emails. This is a great opportunity for students interested in leadership, higher education, or project management.

  • Intern will assume the role as Coordinator of the Campus Involvement Project. As such, intern will run meetings and mentor new students in the program.
  • Intern will schedule, manage, and solicit presentation requests for the 25 Things initiative. 
  • Intern will analyze feedback from students in order to improve and re-structure the presentation format as needed. 
  • Intern will create opportunities for the CIP committee to attend the 25 Things events and take pictures of students with the CIP Board. 
  • Intern will innovate to create programs, incentives, and events to promote involvement. 

 

Student Chair for GYFTD Internship - 12 Hours per week, 3 Academic Credits

The Student Chair of GYFTD Intern is required to be a member of CIP. Their responsibility is to assist Leadership with management of the CIP consultations through administrative functions, data entry and collection, scheduling appointments, managing events, and marketing emails. This is a great opportunity for students interested in leadership, higher education, or project management.

  • Intern will assume the role as Student Chair of “Getting Your Foot in the Door” program. As such intern will run meetings and mentor new students in the program.
  • Intern will assist in managing pairings of student consultants in “Getting Your Foot in the Door” with students who apply for the program.
  • Intern will promote CIP consultations and establish outreach and growth opportunities for the GYFTD program.
