The Schomburg Apartments are comprised of two buildings for a total of 72 apartments,
located near the academic mall. The Schomburg Apartments are for Graduate students,
married Undergraduate and Graduate couples, and domestic partnerships. Children of
family housing applicants are not permitted to live in the Schomburg Apartments.
The Schomburg Apartments are located on the West side of campus. It is located near
West Side Dining. The apartments can be found in quadrant A4 on the Campus Map.
Housing Policies: Substance Free are available in both buildings upon request.
Floor Plan: There are three types of apartments:
- 1-bedroom apartments for married couples and domestic partnerships
- 4-bedroom apartments for 4 single graduate or Health Science Center students of the
same gender to share.
All apartments consist of living and dining areas, bathroom facilities, and a kitchen
equipped with a full sized refrigerator and an electric range.
Furnishings: Dining room table and chairs, full-sized refrigerator, electric range, air conditioner
(available upon request), and a Twin XL bed.
Meal Plan: A meal plan is not required for residents of Schomburg Apartments.
Dining Facilities: There are no dining facilities provided for the Schomburg Apartments. Each Apartment
is equipped with a kitchen and dining area. The nearest dining facility is West Side
Dining, located in Kelly Quad.
Mailroom: Mailboxes are located in the Commons. All packages can be picked up in Keller Mailroom
(216-4150), located in the basement of Keller College.
Parking: Located in the rear of the buildings.
Computing Center: There is no Computing located in Schomburg Apartments. However, student residents
of Schomburg have access to on-campus SINC Sites and Residential Computing Centers,
the nearest of which are in West Apartments (Building E, Commons) and Baruch in Kelly
Fitness Center: There is no Fitness Center located in Schomburg Apartments. However, student residents
of Schomburg have access to on-campus Fitness Centers, the nearest of which are in
West Apartments (Building E, Commons) and Schick College in Kelly Quad.
