Schomburg Apartments

The Schomburg Apartments are comprised of two buildings for a total of 72 apartments, located near the academic mall. The Schomburg Apartments are for graduate students.

Location

The Schomburg Apartments are located on the West side of campus. It is located near West Side Dining. The apartments can be found in quadrant A4 on the Campus Map. For more information, please visit the Stony Brook Maps and Direction website. 

Floor Plan: There are two types of apartments: 1-bedroom apartments & 4-bedroom apartments.

All apartments consist of living and dining areas, bathroom facilities, and a kitchen equipped with a full sized refrigerator and an electric range.

Furnishings: Dining room table and chairs, full-sized refrigerator, electric range, air conditioner (available upon request), and a Twin XL bed.

Meal Plan: A meal plan is not required for residents of Schomburg Apartments. For more information on meal plans, please visit the Stony Brook Meal Plan website. 

Dining Facilities: There are no dining facilities provided for the Schomburg Apartments. Each Apartment is equipped with a kitchen and dining area. The nearest dining facility is West Side Dining, located in Kelly Community.

Mailroom: All packages can be picked up in Wagner Mailroom; information on how to properly address the packages; hours for the mailroom; and contact info. For more information, please visit the Mailroom website.

Computing Center: There is no computing center located in Schomburg Apartments. However, student residents of Schomburg have access to on-campus SINC Sites and Residential Computing Centers, the nearest of which are in West Apartments (Building E, Commons) and Baruch Hall in Kelly Community. Fitness Center: There is no Fitness Center located in Schomburg Apartments. However, student residents of Schomburg have access to on-campus Fitness Centers, the nearest of which are in West Apartments (Building E, Commons) and Schick Hall in Kelly Community.
