Youth Conference Housing

Youth conferences are available to both middle and High School aged students for the duration of the summer (from the beginning of June through the first week of August.). The programs hosted provide a variety of academic and cultural experiences. Safety for our guests under the age of 18 is our priority, reflected by our trained Conference Assistant staff and our policies which uphold Child Safety Policy regulations.

Conference Assistants are available 24/7 for assistance, in the college office or by phone. Please refer to the contact number provided in your check in email. All of our Conference Housing units are staffed by both professional and student staff on a 24/7 basis. The ratio of Conference Assistants to students are 10 to 1. All staff has undergone a criminal background check (including a check of the New York State Sexual Offender Registry).

An EMT service is also available to our youth guests within the residence halls. They are able to provide basic first aid and have contact with Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps (SBVAC) if they are needed.

Registration and Forms:

Youth guests can register for housing through the Conference Housing Registration website. Guests can request roommates directly through the registration portal.

All conference participants are required to fill out a  Conference Housing Youth Forms Packet   prior to arrival. Failure to complete this packet will prevent the guest from checking in. Program coordinators will send out a link to the forms packet and the link above can be used to access to forms packet. This packet includes contact information, medical information, and transportation information. Please note that only people listed on the transportation section of this form will be permitted to pick up/drop off the guest.  If you would like to add additional transportation methods or approved individuals please use the this  google form . This must be completed by 5pm on Thursday the week before you plan to use that method of transportation. Once submitted, parent 1 will be contacted by phone call to verify this new addition for transportation is approved.
