West Apartments Conference Housing


If you are a college age student not enrolled in Stony Brook classes looking to live on campus for a research program or internship, betwen the months of June & July then please read the info below.

If you are participating in a research lab, then you must provide a formal letter from your lab including the name of the lab and the dates you will be doing research. If you are participating in an internship, then you will need to provide proof of your internship via an acceptance letter or other form and proof of your undergraduate student status.

West Apartments consist of double occupancy and single occupancy rooms. Long term guests (staying four weeks or more) will be placed in student apartments and expected to follow the Stony Brook University Terms of Occupancy and Code of Student Responsibility. L ong term guests may share an apartment with current Stony Brook undergraduate students.

If you are part of a short term college aged group staying in West Apartments, then your group will stay together in single gender apartments as spaces allow.

Each apartment in West contains 4 to 6 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, and a living/dining area. Bedrooms and living rooms have an air conditioning unit. Please note that no pots, pans, or cooking supplies are provided.

Please note that meal plan is not included with housing in West Apartments, please contact your program coordinator or the Faculty Student Association (FSA) if you have meal plan questions. FSA can be reached at 631-632-6517
