College Aged Conference Housing
College aged students not enrolled in Stony Brook classes looking to live on campus for a research program or internship may be eligible for conference housing.
During business hours, the Quad/Area Offices are available for assistance. Summer Housing Assistants are available from 5pm to 11pm for assistance, in the college office or by phone.
Research program students must provide a formal letter from their lab including the name of the lab and the dates of the research program. College aged students participating in an internship will need to provide proof of the internship via an acceptance letter or other form and proof of their undergraduate student status.
Please note that meal plan is not included with college aged conference housing, please contact your program coordinator or the Faculty Student Association (FSA) if you have a meal plan questions. FSA can be reached at 631-632-6517.
Check In and Check Out
Check in and check out will take place in the West Apartments Area Office located in the West E Commons adjacent to West E. During business hours guests can walk in to check in, after business hours guests will need to call the summer housing assistant on duty to access the West E Commons. Guests should refer to their check in email for summer housing assistant contact information.
Guests must check out by 11am on their check out date. Guests checking out early in the morning before business hours or late at night outside of business hours can fill out a yellow express check out envelope, place their key and temporary lenel access card (if applicable) inside, seal the envelope and place it in the gray express check out box.
Short Term College Aged Conference Housing
Short term college aged groups (four weeks or less) will be housed in double rooms with air conditioning and linens unless otherwise indicated by program coordinator.
Long Term College Aged Conference Housing
Long term guests (staying more than four weeks) will be placed in West Apartments and potentially share apartments with Stony Brook summer undergraduate students. Guests will be placed in either a single or double room based on the program coordinator’s discretion.
Each apartment in West contains a full kitchen with a refrigerator however, pots, pans, and cooking supplies must be provided by the guest.
