Residence Hall Director
The Residence Hall Director is responsible for the overall management of a residence hall ranging between 220 and 400 residents. This is a 10/12 month live-in position supervising 6-14 Resident Assistants. The Residence Hall Director strives to establish an environment that fosters academic achievement, personal development, and the physical comfort and safety of the residents. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Academic Collaboration
- Conduct Officer
- Administrative Duties
- Programming & Community Engagement
- Facilities & Business Management
- Crisis & Risk Management
- Other Duties as Assigned
Additionally, the Residence Hall Director serves on departmental committees aimed at achieving departmental goals.
Bachelor's Degree. Minimum one year of full-time experience within Student Life. Experience coordinating and/or facilitating small-scale programming. Experience responding to crisis and/or early intervention.
Master’s Degree. Previous experience working within residence life (undergraduate and graduate experience may be considered). Student leadership experience (i.e. participation in student groups, organizations, a Resident Assistant, etc.). Teaching experience (i.e. lead or co-instructor, Teaching Assistant, etc.). Experience participating on committee and/or working group. Experience reporting and following-up on maintenance, safety, and security concerns of building facilities. Previous supervisory experience. Strong computer skills.
This has been designated as an essential position based on the duties of the job and the functions performed. Positions that are designated as such are required to report to work/remain at work even if classes are cancelled, and the campus is working on limited operations in an emergency.
