About Dr. Sidney Gelber
"Sidney is the one that made Stony Brook what it is, and it is most fitting for the auditorium to be named after him.
He had a vision and made it happen."
- Gene Sprouse, Professor of Physics
The Sidney Gelber Auditorium, formerly known as the SAC Auditorium, was named in honor of Dr. Sidney Gelber in April 2015.
