Off-Campus Organizations

Located at the center of campus, the Student Activities Center (SAC) is the gathering place for students, faculty, administrators, and University visitors. Events in our venues include lectures, conferences, movie premieres, concerts, fitness classes, competitions, vendor showcases, and exhibits to large scale receptions.  Guests have access to the SAC facilities including: a 595-seat auditorium, ballrooms, lounges, a sculpture garden, and meeting rooms.

No matter the size or involment of your event, the Student Activities Center has the resources to help you achieve your goals to host a very successful event with us.  Please browse through all of our services that we have to offer. Please feel free to co ntact the Reservations Office for additional information. We look forward to hosting your event!

To make a reservation, please fill out our Reservations Request Form .


Payments for events that are sponsored by a non-Stony Brook University organization, individual, corporation or group are due 10 business days prior to the event.  Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the event start date. Any cancellations made after 14 days will be charged 100% of the total invoice.  Your final invoice will be sent to you from . Please do not pay prior to the final invoice, as changes to your reservation may result in changes to your invoice. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the billing department at
