Department of Student Community Development

Non-Traditional Students

Non-traditional Students are typically defined by the University as undergraduate students over the age of 24 or our students with veteran status. However, there are a variety of other life circumstances that might result in a student self identifying with this population, such as full time workers, parents, career changers and more.

Non-traditional students often juggle a variety of obligations in addition to their studies. These students have the opportunity to model strong commitment to education while bringing a unique set of skills and experiences to the campus community.
