Alumni Panel

Band Alumni Panel 2017

The band has invited the alumni to serve on a panel to help current band members navigate their way through their last couple of years of college and then into the working field. The band is very excited to hear from former band members and this is a great experience for us to connect with them.

Basketball Game

Alumni Basketball Game 2015

On November 28, 2015, the first annual alumni basketball game took place. Playing with the Spirit of Stony Brook Pep Band again was a blast, especially with I Can't Turn You Loose, Paul Simon Opener and of course, Emerson, in the script. Not only did the men's basketball team dominate Farmingdale State College 91-42, but many of us got to experience playing in the new Island Federal Credit Union Arena for the very first time!

Congratulations to Jon Roman '13, '15 on winning the "alumni challenge" during the game. He beat basketball player Rayshaun McGrew in naming the most Michael Jackson songs in 15 seconds!

Homecoming 2015

Homecoming 2015 was a great success! More than 50 alumni joined the band on the field to play Uptown Girl during halftime, which was a part of the band’s Billy Joel throwback show. The Alumni Board would like to personally thank everyone who made the trip back to Stony Brook to take part in a tradition that will only grow larger as the years go by.
