Instrument Petting Zoo (IPZ)

A hands-on workshop where children ages 3 to 5 see, listen, touch, and play instruments from around the world.  Instrument Petting Zoo is held at Head Start programs, libraries, schools and non-profits.   This program helps inspire an appreciation of music and instruments at a very young age, but also has the added benefit of giving Stony Brook University students paid positions where they can practice teaching and interacting with children (a career many of these students will pursue in the future)
