Robert Micera

A Human Resources Executive, Change Management and Lean Business Process Improvement leader, currently is Director HR Transformation at KPMG.  He has held HR leadership positions within Human Capital Management, Financial Services and Professional Services industries.  He has led direct reports within all HR functions and for large project teams.  His executive level HR business partners have included Professional Services Partners/Leaders, IT, Operations, Client Services, Sales, Corporate Strategy, Continuous Improvement, Finance, Cyber and Physical Security, Marketing, Client Communications and Procurement.  He has directed HR for organizations with 200 employees to 60,000 employees. His skills, leadership and strategic expertise include HR business partner support/structures, employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits/comp and incentives strategies, training/OD, affirmative action, process improvement, challenging the status quo and executing on business paradigm shifts and change leadership,. He is a strategic entrepreneurial leader and strong presenter. He has presented at Annual SHRM conferences, and other regional conferences. He is the author of “Right To The Point”, The RDM Employer of Choice Model, featured at the SHRM Leadership Conference.

Robert is an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall, Fairleigh Dickinson and Stony Brook Universities graduate and undergraduate programs in I/O Psychology and HR Mgmt/Labor Relations. He has articles published in “Accounting Today”, “The Long Island Business News”, “National Society of Accountants” and he has been featured and quoted in The NY Times, Newsday, and NY Post.  He has appeared on television in HR panels.  Robert holds an MS in HR Mgmt/Labor Relations and BA in Industrial Psychology. 

He has an entrepreneurial mindset within his HR career and as an individual. He established and operates a real estate investment and property management business and is the artist and creator of UNITYMOVE LLC, a fashion company dedicated to driving the message of unity, diversity and individuality. He speaks Spanish and Italian. He is also an accomplished singer/songwriter.

He serves on the Executive Board and is the immediate Past-President for the Society of Human Resources Management Morris County New Jersey Chapter. Additional professional and civic affiliations have been previous Treasurer and President Elect of the SHRM Long Island Chapter, HR Advisory Board member for Adults and Children with Learning Disabilities (ACLD), Committee member for the National Association of Mothers’ Centers (NAMC), and member of The Congress of Racial Equality (CORE).
