HEA Instructor Publishes First Book
Dr. Marianna Savoca, a member of the HEA faculty, has just published her first book, "A Good Job: Campus Employment as a High-Impact Practice" (Stylus, 2018). With a foreword by Dr. George Kuh, Savoca and her co-authors sought to help student employment practitioners and student employee supervisors at diverse college campuses re-envision, re-invent, and re-configure student jobs on campus, to transform them into high-impact opportunities for learning and development. HEA  Instructor Wins Award from the Suffolk County Human Rights Commission 
On Wednesday, May 17 at the 2017 Human Rights Awards Dinner, Christina Vargas will be honored as the recipient of the Lawrence Timpa Memorial Award for Professional Service.  This award is given to honor an individual who, in his/her professional life, has responded to violations of human rights and/or has sought to change institutional structures that have restricted full participation by all people.  Congratulations Professor Vargas!
