Graduate Coordinator for Commuter Student Services & Off -Campus Living Office
Description: The Office of Commuter Student Services and Off-Campus Living supports our diverse commuter student population of over 15K, across academic levels, with social and educational programming, emphasizing community engagement, both on and off-campus. Furthermore, the office supports the greater campus community who rent in the local community, or are considering doing so.
This graduate student coordinator position reports to the Program Coordinator for Commuter Student Services & Off-Campus Living.
Position tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
● Create, develop and facilitate educational programming, outreach, and events targeted to commuter students, and other special student populations (e.g. international students, graduate students, non-traditional students, etc.); manage facility and resource reservations
● Support coordination and execution of programs related to the Commuter Assistant Program, a prestigious undergraduate student leadership and peer-mentor program; programs may include trainings, leadership development opportunities and team building/social events
● Facilitate programming and outreach related to Commuter Assistant recruitment, interview and selection process (for 21-22 cohort); lead all administrative duties related to this undertaking
● Advise campus community members on off-campus living/housing matters and assist with group presentations, as needed
● Serve as advocate and resource for commuter students; address individual needs and concerns via email, phone and in-person visits; refer to on- and off-campus partners, as appropriate

Business Operations Graduate Coordinator
Office Description:
As a graduate coordinator for the Department of Student Community Development (SCD), this role will support all area units (Commuter Student Services & Off-Campus Living (CSS/OCL), Student Media/WUSB 90.1FM (SM), Center for Civic Justice (CCJ)). At this time, the anticipated emphasis is on the CSS/OCL and SM units. (More information about each unit is available below the position details.*)
This position reports to the Director for Student Community Development and the Program Coordinator for Commuter Student Services & Off-Campus Living.
Position tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
● Foster productive relationships with local businesses to build upon existing database of sponsors and/or underwriters for both the off-campus living and WUSB radio operations; develop and execute outreach plan
● Network with local organizations and elected officials, as well as town centers and chambers of commerce to expand reach of contribution and connection to local community
● Track off-campus living revenue stream, and prepare and maintain organized files of all related budgetary documentation; recommend and seek additional sources of revenue
● Update area websites, as needed, with emphasis on off-campus living/housing listing website
● Support data tracking needs, including but not limited to off-campus living behavior police reports; assess usage of off campus living/housing resources and make recommendations for improvement
● Prepare and assign purchase order requisitions in Wolfmart and collect all justification documentation for monthly state credit card certifications; submit catering orders
● Advise campus community members on off-campus living/housing matters and assist with group presentations, as needed

CSS/OCL supports our diverse commuter student population of over 15K, across academic levels, with social and educational programming, emphasizing community engagement, both on and off-campus. Furthermore, the office supports the greater campus community who rent in the local community, or are considering doing so.
SM provides information and services to the campus and surrounding communities through the use of media, and advises student media through education, event planning, media career resources and public service announcements for the campus and community. This unit also oversees the University's non-commercial radio station, licensed by the FCC.
CCJ provides services, support and coordination for programs and opportunities that cultivate, develop and empower active and engaged Seawolves to positively contribute to the betterment of their communities through awareness, advocacy and action. This unit manages campus voter registration and engagement, as well as campus food pantry operations. -
Graduate Audio Visual Equipment Coordinator
Audio visual technicians must be creative and flexible with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with coworkers and clients. Proficient with computer systems, Audio Mixing equipment, and Microphones used in multimedia production. This position is Technical based as the ideal candidate must be able to manage and troubleshoot a wide array of Audio Visual Equipment. The Graduate Student Coordinator for Digital Marketing is a position within the Department of Student Engagement and Activities broadly designed to offer graduate students an opportunity to develop, coordinate, and execute marketing and branding strategies for the department. The Graduate Student Coordinator for Digital Marketing role aims to promote student engagement across campus using digital and print media, social media outlets, and in person experiences.
Position tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Work in conjunction with the Program Coordinator to coordinate and implement strategic digital and print marketing campaigns/content for the department, assist in the mission to promote student engagement across campus, highlight student organizations and events, and mass distribution of departmental events and initiatives
- Create graphics and videos to meet the needs of the department on an ongoing basis
- Co-supervise a team of undergraduate marketing interns, conduct one-on-one and staff meetings, provide training, and support leadership development

- Assist in the daily office operations of the Department of Student Engagement and Activities with a focus on fraternity and sorority life
- Serve as the primary program advisor to a cohort of recognized student organizations

- Attend supervisory meetings, program advisor meetings, and departmental trainings
- Assist in the overall advisement of fraternity and sorority chapters and governing councils (including program planning, chapter operations, data management, etc.)

- Mitigate risk through appropriate event planning for the successful and safe completion of student events
- Assist in the planning and implementation of large scale, traditional events as needed

The Department of Student Engagement and Activities works with various clubs, organizations, and departments to provide programming that caters to the vast diversity and interests of the student body. The Graduate Student Coordinator for Large Scale Programming reports to the Program Coordinator for Student Engagement & Activities, and is specifically geared toward aiding the office with large scale programming such as SBU Weeks of Welcome (Summer & Winter), Homecoming & Seawolves Showcase, and to enhance the quality of campus life and student engagement through consistent programming efforts.
Position tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with large scale programming initiatives including but not limited to: Weeks of Welcome, Homecoming, etc.
- Serve on the Council for Campus Activities Committee and assist with event planning, correspondence to event coordinators, ordering of supplies, and overall management and maintenance of funds in conjunction with the Program Coordinator for Student Engagement & Activities
- Assist in the maintenance of area budget
- Assist with the creation and updating of comprehensive guidelines/manual related to event planning and operations
- Assist with ongoing supervision of undergraduate staff and interns

- Plan, attend, and conduct weekly staff meetings

Remuneration

The Graduate Student Coordinator for Leadership is a position within the Department of Student Engagement and Activities broadly designed to offer graduate students an opportunity to assist with creation and coordination of leadership opportunities, aid in event planning and logistics, and develop transferable skills. 2021-2022 Graduate Coordinator
Graduate employment with the Office of New Student Programs provides a unique opportunity for one to be able to assist in the development and acclimation of new students. The Graduate Coordinator serves a key role by working collaboratively with the professional and student staff in the development of new students, participating in student leader training, and contributing to a plethora of ways towards the growth and success of incoming classes as well the office.
Your duties are listed (not limited to) the following:
- Play a central role in the planning and day to day implementation of New Student Orientation (Seawolf Connections and Welcome Week) and other programs or initiatives of the Office of New Student Programs.

The Graduate Coordinator will be expected to work 20 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters, and 29 hours per week during Winter (January) and Summer sessions. This agreement is until May 20 th, 2022 with the opportunity to extend the position into a second summer or a second year, depending on the incumbent’s graduation date.

The Office of Housing and Residence Life at Monroe Community College is seeking a Graduate Assistant (GA) to work collaboratively with para and professional staff members in the Housing and Residence Life office to assist in the creation of a safe, secure, and civil environment for students where learning, growth and development can take place both inside and outside of the classroom. Description
The Office of Housing and Residence Life is looking for a GA to support program development within the residence halls. The GA will help implement and support larger scale departmental programming such as the weeks of welcome programming to kick start each semester in the residence halls, residence halls’ fall and spring festivals, and Fresh Check Day. The GA is expected to fully participate in Resident Director and Resident Assistant training in August. The successful GA candidate will serve as a part of the on call crisis duty rotation and supervise students in a programming capacity. Duties and Responsibilities
·Participate in day, evening, and weekend duty coverage
·Ensure students are compliant with the Residence Life Policy Manual and College policies

Renumeration
