The Stony Brook $1,000 Short Fiction Prize

harpit samraThe 2018 Stony Brook $1,000 Short Fiction Prize has been awarded to  Harpit Samra of York University for her submission, "What Isolation Bred."

First Runner-up: Brady Alexander of the University of Louisville, Kentucky, for his story, "Harvestman."

Second Runner-up: Krystal Song of the University of California, Los Angeles, for her story "Of Lilacs and Melancholy. "
 
Finalists: Anne Kat Alexander (Brandeis University), "The Writer"; Elizabeth Charles (Ithaca College), "Vanessa on the Cusp"; Julia Gagliardi (Fordham University), "The Chapel of Love"; Justin Joyce (Lehman College), "Spaceman. "
