One Finished Novel.
Bookends is a non-credit intensive to help writers revise their full-length manuscripts and bring them to polished form.
Founded by faculty members Meg Wolitzer and Susan Scarf Merrell, BookEnds provides a year of close-grained work in meticulously constructed peer groupings, enriched by one-on-one mentorships. Past and current mentors include Ursula Hegi, Paul Harding, Amy Hempel, Karen E. Bender, Scott Cheshire, and Daniel Menaker.
BookEnds accepts a small cohort of talented writers with promising full-length manuscripts. Novels and linked short story collections are suitable for the program. Participants must be able to generate and integrate manuscript critique within the unique BookEnds methodology.
