About

During the years 2009-2011, advanced Ph.D. students (post second year; N=25-30 per year) had 65 publications, including 53 articles and chapters, delivered 122 papers at national or regional meetings, and received 23 awards from national or specialty professional groups. During the 2010-2011 academic year, six of the SBU Sociology graduate students were active in the professional job market: four accepted offers of tenure track jobs at research universities and one received an ACLS post-doctoral fellowship.   8. Michael Lenmark received funding from the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) to present his paper, "Immigration, Xenophobia, and the Redistribution of Wealth: A Study of Public Opinion" at the annual conference in Toronto (2019).
