RELOCATION RESOURCES

HOME OWNERSHIP ASSISTANCE

The information listed below may provide resources for University faculty, staff and community members to obtain assistance with finding affordable housing options, including the financial aspects of buying a home, such as mortgage loans, down payments, and closing costs.

Landed

Landed helps essential professionals (including employees of educational institutions) buy homes near the communities they serve.

Available tools include a shared-equity down payment program that invests alongside an employee to help them reach a 20% down payment. Landed's funds come in the form of an equity investment, meaning homebuyers share in a portion of the gain (or loss, if any) of the home's value once the partnership is ended - typically by sale or refinance. Participants do not need to be first time homebuyers and there are no income or asset limits needed to qualify.
