Our Undergraduate Academic Advisors can help you with:
- major academic advising
- declaring the Psychology major
- documenting progress in the major (by creating an academic progress sheet for you)
- evaluate existing transfer courses
- evaluate whether courses taken at other schools while you are a Stony Brook student can count towards your Stony Brook Psychology major
- provide information on course content and syllabi
- help you determine how to prepare for graduate school
- provide information on careers in psychology and related fields
- provide information on research, internship & community service opportunities

Our Undergraduate Program Coordinator can help you with everything our Academic Advisors can assist you with as well as:

- retake support for Psychology courses

- TA and internship permissions on SOLAR

Additionally, the Undergraduate Coordinator will recommend courses for incoming transfer students for orientation in collaboration with Academic and Transfer Advising Services & lead Undergraduate Advising office outreach events.

Additionally, she can help students interested in doing research find semester-long supervised research positions in exchange for course credit.

Our Director of Undergraduate Studies is the faculty head of the Psychology Undergraduate Office. The Director supervises all operations of the undergraduate office in the Psychology department and serves as the department liaison on undergraduate issues to other university areas, such as the Dean's Office, Admissions, Transfer Office, and Academic Advising.
