Stephan Brandt
Stephan (he/him/his) is currently a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program
at Stony Brook University. He earned his B.S. in Psychology at Stony Brook University
and his M.A. in Experimental Psychology at Brooklyn College. His research centers
on the relationship between group-level support, community connectedness, and positive
psychosocial outcomes among LGBTQ+ populations. He is specifically interested in how
such support and connection can buffer the deleterious effect of minority stress on
mental and physical health outcomes in LGBTQ+ individuals. His research advisor is
Dr. Joanne Davila.
