4. Career Planning Workshop and Career Mentoring Group Start Feb 15

You are invited to a workshop on Planning Your Path to a Satisfying Career. Postdocs will learn strategies to explore a range of career interests and develop an action plan to strengthen the skills required for pursuing their ideal career. Participants will leave the workshop with a first draft or update of their Individual Development Plan (IDP).

Postdocs who attend this workshop will also be prepared to join a new career mentoring group from the PhD Career Ladder Program. We're very excited to adapt our NSF-funded PhD Career Ladder Program (PCLP) for postdocs into a streamlined four month program, led by postdocs, for postdocs. Following the PCLP model, a small group of postdocs would meet once a month for a structured series of peer-led career preparation steps, from self-assessment, to skill identification, to informational interviewing, and resume/CV refining. The first exercise for PCLP is the Planning Your Path workshop on Feb 15th.

DATE: February 15, 2018
TIME: 3-5 pm
