Imran Azad is a recent graduate from Stony Brook University where he studied Applied Mathematics and Economics. However, he decided to take a different path than what was expected. With a passion for the art of content creation and conversation, he decided to start The Unmapped Podcast during his senior year of college. What initially seemed like mere procrastination from his job search, quickly became much more than that.
Katie Bishop: Katie Bishop is the executive producer for the podcast
Death, Sex & Money from WNYC Studios. Before joining the show in 2014, Katie produced Soundcheck, a
daily program about music and the arts. She has also worked for Martha Stewart Living
Radio on Sirius XM, Marketplace, Jazz at Lincoln Center Radio, and The State of Things from
North Carolina Public Radio.
Ashley began her journalism career in 2002 as an intern at WNYC. For seven years she
was a reporter in the New York bureau of Marketplace where she produced news spots,
features, and participated in discussions with the show’s hosts. She has also reported
for NPR, Voice of America, and several other outlets. Since 2012 Ashley’s been producing
The Broad Experience, her podcast on women and the workplace -- one of the first shows to focus on that
topic. She hosts the Morgan Stanley Ideas Podcast and has also hosted
The Venture, a branded podcast for Gimlet Creative. She's also an adjunct professor at Columbia
University's Graduate School of Journalism.
: Allyson is a journalist whose work often appears on NPR's flagship news programs,
and on podcasts including
KCRW's Lost Notes and the BBC's Short Cuts.
Becca DeGregorio: Becca DeGregorio has been audio storytelling for four years now, first as an associate
producer on Open Source with Christopher Lydon (out of WBUR in Boston) and now as
a freelance editor (out of her laptop in New York City). When she's not recording,
cutting and mixing other people's audio (for Vice's GARAGE Magazine, Project Worldwide
and other independent shows), she's producing The Grandma Files, her nonfiction podcast
featuring conversations between grandchildren and the women two generations above
