Local Directions
Route 27 East to East Hampton. Left at Traffic Light on to Main Street. East on Main Street to Left Fork on North Main Street (at the Windmill). Under Railroad Trestle, ½ mile to Right Fork (marked Springs-Fireplace Rd., County Route 41). 4 Miles North to 830 Springs-Fireplace Rd. on the Right.

Complete Directions
The museum is located in The Springs, a hamlet four miles north of the village of East Hampton on eastern Long Island, about 100 miles from Manhattan. NOTE: Expect delays on local roads, especially during summer months. Please allow ample drive time. Guided tours start promptly, and there are no refunds for latecomers.

By Car from Manhattan

  • Through the Midtown Tunnel, take the Long Island Expressway (US 495) east to Exit 70, County Route 111.
  • Take Route 111 south to Sunrise Highway (State Route 27).
  • Take Route 27 east to East Hampton.
  • At the traffic light (T junction), turn left on Main Street.
  • After the next light (corner of Newtown Lane), fork left in front of the windmill onto North Main Street.
  • Go under the railroad overpass for ½ mile. Fork right onto Springs-Fireplace Road (County Route 41).
  • Go four miles north to the Pollock-Krasner House, number 830, on the right.

Long Island Rail Road
Trains leave from Pennsylvania Station on West 32nd Street. There is a taxi rank at the East Hampton station. Check schedule and fare information or call 718-217-5477 (NYC), 516-822-5477 (Nassau), 631-231-5477 (Suffolk), or the Mail & Ride reservation service, 800-649-6969. 

Hampton Jitney
Coaches leave frequently from the East Side. There is a taxi rank at the bus stop in front of the Huntting Inn on Main Street, East Hampton. For schedule and fare information, telephone 631-283-4600, or (from area codes 212, 718, 516, 914 and 201) 800-936-0440, or visit Hampton Jitney

From Connecticut
Ferry service from New London to Orient, takes about 1 ½ hours. The drive from Orient to the Pollock-Krasner House via Shelter Island (two short ferry rides, no reservations needed) and Sag Harbor takes about an hour. Ferry service from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson, takes about 1 ¼ hours. The drive from Port Jefferson to the Pollock-Krasner House takes about 2 hours.

By Air
The regional airport is Islip/MacArthur, served by American, Southwest and Elite. Taxi connections to the Hampton Jitney are available; arrangements should be made through the Jitney reservation service. East Hampton Airport, 631-537-2202, handles general aviation and charter aircraft.
