Josiah Zoodsma

Josiah Zoodsma received his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University, while minoring in Philosophy. He is currently a fourth-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior working with Drs. Howard Sirotkin and Lonnie Wollmuth. His current focus is on studying the developmental roles of human disease-relevant proteins in the brain, by modeling them in zebrafish. Both inside and outside of the laboratory, Josiah has a passion for both teaching and mentoring. During his free time he enjoys playing disc sports, including ultimate frisbee and disc golf, hiking and playing retro video games.
