9 am to 12 pm,  New Student Move-In, Quad Offices ★ Required for new residential students

10 am to 4 pm,  Shop Red West Campus Store Open, Melville Library, Lower Level

11 am to 1 pm,  Unpack and Settle In, Residence Halls

11 am to 1 pm,  Family & New Student Welcome Reception, SAC Traditions Lounge

11 am to 3 pm,  Taking Care of Business, FSA Hours, East Side Dining (FSA Office)

11 am to 3 pm,  “Find Your Class” Building Tour, SAC Lobby (departing every 10 to 15 minutes)

12 pm to 3 pm,  Lunch on Your Own, SAC Market, East Side Dining Urban Eats & Emporium, West Side Market

1 pm to 3 pm, Commuter Expo, SAC Ballroom B

2 pm to 4 pm,  Commuter Fun Zone, SAC Ballroom A

5:30 pm to 6 pm,  Campus Residences Quad Meetings, SAC  ★ Required for new residential students

6:30 pm to 8 pm,  Wolfie’s Welcome Dinner, SAC Ballrooms A and B  ★ Required for new residential students

8:00 pm to 12:00 am,  First Night Out: Open Recreation, Hawrys Campus Recreation Center

 

SUNDAY, January 26, 2020

8 am to 9 am,  Breakfast on Your Own, East Side and West Side Dine-In Locations

9 am,  Experience Stony Brook Check-In, Wang Center Lobbies  ★ Required for new first-year and transfer students

9 am to 9:45 am,  Non-Traditional Student Meet-Up, Wang Center J Club.  (By invitation only)

9 am to 9:45 am,  CHECK-IN WELCOME ACTIVITIES

  • “Find Your Class” Building Tours, Wang Theatre, Lobby (departing every 10 to 15 minutes). Last tour departs at 9:15 am.
  • Taking Care of Business FSA Hours, East Side Dining, Meal plans and student health insurance. (9 to 9:45 am)

9:45 am to 12:20 pm,  Transfer Student Orientation Programs, Wang Center, ★ Required for new transfer students

10 am to 12:20 pm,  First-Year Student Orientation Programs, Wang Center ★ Required for new first-year students

10 am to 5:30 pm, Shop Red West Campus Store Open, Melville Library Lower Level

12:15 pm to 1:30 pm,  Seawolf Spirit Luncheon, Wang Center Lobbies

  • LUNCH TIME ACTIVITIES:
  • 12 pm to 1:30 pm,  Campus Community Information Fair, Wang Lobbies
  • 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm,  Taking Care of Business, FSA Office Hours, East Side Dining
  • 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm,  Veterans Student Lunch, Wang Center, J Club.  (By invitation only)

1:30 pm to 4:15 pm,  Non-Traditional Student Program, Wang Center Lecture Hall 2  (By invitation only)

1:30 pm to 2:05 pm,  New Student Convocation, Staller Center Main Stage  ★ Required for all new students

2:05 pm to 4:25 pm,  This Community Belongs to All of Us, Staller Center Main Stage  ★ Required for all new students

5 pm to 8 pm,  Dinner on Your Own, East Side and West Side Dine-In Locations
