Soo Yeon Cho

Pianist Soo Yeon Cho from Korea has performed in Korea, Russia, Austria, and the U.S. and has won awards in numerous competitions, including Chicago International Music Competition, St. Petersburg Art Premium International Competition, American Protégé Competition, Grand Prize Virtuoso Music Competition, NEC Piano Honors Competition and Korea Music Association Competition. 

Ms. Cho has joined a variety of music festivals, such as Bowdoin Music Festival, Atlantic Music Festival, Music Festival at Walnut Hill School and Gustav Mahler Summer Academy in Austria, where she worked with renowned pianists such as Matti Raekallio, Wha Kyung Byun, Victor Rosembaum, Hung-Kuan Chen, Michael Lewin, Christopher Hinterhuber, and Stefan Vladar. 

Ms. Cho studied with Prof. Kye Ryung Suh at Kyung Hee University in Seoul and obtained her Bachelor of Music degree. She received the Superior Academic Excellence Award for 4 years at Kyung Hee University, graduating with the highest honors. She moved to Boston in 2018, where she studied with Prof. Randall Hodgkinson at New England Conservatory, and earned her Master of Music degree with Academic Honors. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Stony Brook University under the guidance of Prof. Gilbert Kalish.
