Alice is a first-year graduate student in the Music History and Theory program. Her research interests lie broadly in 18th/19th century opera, with interdisciplinary focus on issues surrounding quantitative data analysis and political/financial culture. As of late, she has been interested in the life and works of Hermann Zumpe. She double-majored in music and economics at Columbia University (B.A. degree), where her independent study thesis for the music major analyzed the accrual of Verdi’s financial wealth in conjunction with political, censorship, and copyright influences. She is also classically trained in piano, violin, and flute.
