Youth Ensemble

The Youth Ensemble will not be running during the 2022/2023 school year. Please check back in spring 2023 for updates on the program.

INTEREST FORM

The Stony Brook Youth Ensemble is tailored for students ages 9-12 playing violin, viola, cello, and bass. The program seeks to build more confident and independent players through chamber music concepts applied in a chamber orchestra setting. 

Interested students should be at around NYSSMA Level 3 or higher and able to sightread music.

SCHEDULE 

The Youth Ensemble meets at Stony Brook University on Saturdays from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. There will one concert in December and one concert in May at the Staller Center for the Arts.

TUITION 

Fall Semester (September to December): $500
Spring Semester (January to May): $500
Full Year: $900

There are no additional fees or expenses required for the year.  Tuition also covers the cost of concerts and tickets to all events.
