Important Note on M.A. program application 2020

1) If you apply after April 1, you should upload an electronic copy of your transcript with your application in ApplyYourself.  If you have already submitted your application, email a copy of your unofficial transcript to Michelle Carbone (michelle.carbone.1@stonybrook.edu). Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for the application and will also be valid for matriculation. An official transcript, however, must be submitted during the Fall 2020 semester, prior to registration for the Spring 2021 semester.  

2) If you have questions, please contact the department via email (michelle.carbone.1@stonybrook.edu). Access to telephone messages is limited, and so response to telephone messages will suffer delay.

3) Due to the worldwide closure of testing centers, the Department of Linguistics is waiving the GRE requirement for applications to its MA programs for Fall 2020.  This includes applications to the MA-TESOL, MA in Computational Linguistics, and the MA in Linguistics.
