Josephine Fusco Endowed Fellowship
In Italian and Italian American Studies
Purpose
To assist the brightest graduate students to Stony Brook University by supporting their course work, research, travel and graduate life associated with their programs in Italian and/or Italian American Studies.
Who may apply:
Josephine Fusco Fellowship In Italian and Italian American Studies is open to U.S. citizens and International graduate students who have been admitted to the MA in Italian Studies, or the M.A.T. in Italian.
Selection
A decision will be granted by a committee formed by the Director of the Center for Italian Studies (Giuseppe Gazzola), an Italian Professor from the European Languages, Literatures, and Cultures Department (Irene Marchegiani), and the Assistant Director, Center for Italian Studies (Josephine Fusco). The Committee reserves the right to have a formal interview during the selection process.
Support
Support for the Selected Fellow in the M.A. in Italian will take the form of traditional financial assistance for the semester’s educational costs at Stony Brook University as a full-time graduate student.
Support for the Selected Fellow in the M.A.T. in Italian will take the form of a minimum $5000 fellowship award to be applied to the candidate’s semester’s educational costs at Stony Brook University as a full-time graduate student.
