Marcus C. Coleman is a data-driven biomedical engineer with experiences in research & development at top companies and a top university program on scholarship. Marcus possesses a background in medicine and business. Strong verbal and technical skills. 

Prior to his role at Stony Brook University Marcus worked as an LP at FundRx, a venture capital firm that invests in innovative healthcare and life sciences companies. Prior to FundRx, he worked as an R&D Biomedical Engineer at Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX). Prior to Boston Scientific, Marcus worked in neural engineering labs at Duke University as a student. Marcus also owned a fishing & sailing charter business which he sold in 2019. 

Marcus obtained his BS in Engineering at Duke University, where he was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow. He took courses in the M.Eng. program and in medical device strategy in the M.B.A. program at Duke University. Marcus studied medicine in the M.D. program at St. George’s University School of Medicine.
