SBU and BNL Host Quantum Info Science Workshop

S B U with BNL, hosted a workshop

On February 25, 2019, Stony Brook University, in collaboration with Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), hosted a workshop that brought together more than 200 attendees interested in Quantum Information Science and Technology (QIST). This event provided an opportunity for faculty, students, scientists, and industry partners to discuss and establish interdisciplinary collaborations.


Dr. Vladimir Korepin, Director of the SUNY Center of Quantum Information Science at Long Island and IACS Affiliate Faculty, emphasizes how important the Center and events such as this will provide important leadership in expanding Stony Brook University’s quantum research. IACS Affiliate, Dr. Tzu-Chieh Wei was one of the four guest lecturers who discussed their work with Quantum Networking and Cryptography, Quantum Algorithms and Programming Environment, Analog Quantum Simulation, and Quantum Materials and Devices.
