COVID-19 UPDATE
**The following information is subject to change as the University, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) guidelines continue to evolve:
Effective 8/16/2021:
Reservation requests are not required to use 6-ft social distancing layouts. This change is applicable to both courses scheduled through the Office of the Registrar and event reservations scheduled through the Health Sciences Office of Student Services.
If you have previously scheduled an event reservation between 8/16–12/31/2021 using a 6-ft social distancing layout, there is no action needed from you to increase the expected headcount for your event. You are automatically approved to have an expected headcount that aligns with the "As-Is" layout listed in the Health Sciences Tower Classroom Capacities.
Please ensure that your event aligns with all university, state, and federal COVID guidelines—check the Stony Brook University Stronger Together website for more information.
Additional COVID-19 Policies:
- The Galleria (Level 3-199U in 25Live) and Classroom 3-133B will remain offline through at least 12/31/2021 to aid in the University's COVID-19 response
- According to Stony Brook University's Stronger Together website, until further notice, all faculty, staff, students, and visitors, regardless of their vaccination status, must wear face coverings while inside University and Hospital buildings. Food is not permitted in any Health Sciences Tower or MART classroom while a mask mandate is in effect.
