Honors College Annual Events
Each year the Student Advisory Board in conjuction with the Honors College Staff puts on a wide variety of events for Honors College students. These events help to foster a close knit Honors College community and lifelong friendships!
In the spring semesters, Honors College students are invited to our annual Masquerade Ball. The Honors College Student Advisory Board selects a charity to sponsor and dedicates the event to collecting items for that particular charity. Held at the Tabler Center for Arts, Culture, and Humanities, the exciting evening consists of dinner, dancing and of course, masquerade masks!
Pizza and game nights are held every semester in the Honors College Lounge, hosted by our Student Advisory Board. Pizza, snacks, and board games offer a nice break from busy coursework.
Once every semester, Honors College students are invited to a Saturday New York City Trip. With a Long Island Railroad train station right on campus the cultural offerings of New York City are just a short train ride away! Past trips have included visits to places such as the Museum of Modern Art and Broadway shows such as Les Miserables and The Lion King.
To celebrate the graduating Honors College seniors, each spring a semi-formal, Senior Banquet is held at a local catering hall. This is a very special evening where Honors College students get to celebrate their hard work and accomplishments and enjoy dinner and dancing with their fellow classmates as they also look toward the future.
