Dissertation title: "Their Job is to Deport Me”: Policing Latinx and Indigenous People in the Arizona-Mexico Borderlands, 1964 to the Present.

Interests: Twentieth century US Carceral State, Latinx, and Immigration History.

 

I study twentieth century US Carceral, Latinx, Native American, Borderlands, Immigration, and Southwestern History under professors Lori Flores, Robert Chase, and Paul Kelton. My dissertation  explores the legacies of police brutality and mass incarceration upon Arizona’s Latinx and Native American communities after the bracero program ended in 1964.
