Campus Dining Bid Process Underway

To the Campus Community,

Over the past 18 months, the Faculty Student Association (FSA) has worked diligently to ensure that our campus dining partner was meeting stated goals and objectives of the dining program.Unfortunately, our partner continued to fall short of expectations as demonstrated by quality assurance reports and customer satisfaction data. Therefore we have initiated a request for proposals (RFP), to enhance the current dining program to provide the highest quality dining services and experience.  The purpose of the RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified bidders including the current food service provider.

We are interested in working with a partner(s) that can provide a varied selection of meal plans and food service offerings to serve the broad range of dietary needs and preferences of our diverse student body; deliver consistent high-quality food in a safe and comfortable dining facility, so that students can eat, study and socialize; and, offer meal plan options that adapt to students’ busy schedules.

The bid process is being overseen by FSA and managed by a bid selection committee comprised of students, faculty, staff and administrators. Student leaders will be providing feedback to advise FSA about what changes students want most in the student meal plan and dining services program.

We expect the contract to be awarded in May, with the transition period starting on June 1.
