Fulbright scholar


Prestigious, nationally competitive awards for a year of overseas study, research, or teaching. All majors eligible and foreign language proficiency not necessarily required.

Campus Nomination Deadline:
September 21, 2018


  • Graduating seniors, grad students, and recent alums
  • All disciplines
  • U.S. citizens
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree, but not yet earned a PhD
  • Must meet any country-specific requirements
  • Must apply by the September 21, 2018 Campus Endorsement Deadline


If you are an undergraduate who will be graduating in Fall 2018, Spring 2019, or Summer 2019, consider applying by the September 21, 2018 Fulbright Campus Nomination Deadline. Graduate students who will not have received their PhD. by this date are also eligible to apply. These awards provide funding to conduct research (in any field!) or teach English overseas for an academic year following graduation. Foreign language proficiency is not necessarily required.

Students who plan to submit by the September 21, 2018 deadline will attend a series of weekly session on best application practices. These sessions will focus on the written portions of the application: the short answer questions, the Personal Statement, and the Statement of Grant Purpose.   • Applicants may attend sessions in person, via webcast, or view recordings of the webcasts
