Club Red

Club Red is intended as an informal gathering opportunity for faculty and staff from all departments in the University, East and West Campuses. The larger goals of Club Red primarily revolve around develop a greater sense of community and boost campus morale at SBU.  Club Red represents a unique opportunity to meet your colleagues from other departments across our sprawling campus in a comfortable and attractive after-hours setting.  This has rarely happened because such inclusive community events are not built into campus life.  Club Red is our dedicated effort to provide that type of shared experience and elevate the sense of community.

Feedback from a Club Red attendee:

"I must say it was a most enjoyable experience. I met a number of individuals from other departments, which for me bridged the East-West Campus divide.  As a psychiatry faculty member, that has rarely happened in my 15 years at Stony Brook.  This was quite a unique experience for me at Stony Brook. It would not have happened if not for the Club Red idea.
So I’m a big supporter of this effort.  It enhances a sense of connectedness at Stony Brook and offers a social and professional opportunity to interact with others on campus outside of our immediate work environments. I encourage you to stop by when the (usually) Friday afternoon Club Red is scheduled."
