Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Instructor

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing, or completion of a course for Nurse Practitioner and certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner. Minimum one year of full time clinical experience working in a newborn nursery.

Preferred Qualifications

Five or more years of clinical experience working in a Newborn Nursery.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) will provide direct care to select patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Stony Brook Children's Hospital and network affiliate hospitals in collaboration with an attending Neonatologist as well as assisting in annually reviewing NNP protocols and instructing residents and NP students in DR resuscitation and NICU stabilization skills (e.g., NRP).

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
