Associate Professor/Professor

Required Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent.
  • Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Board Certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Experience in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Techniques for the Treatment of Pelvic Organ Prolapse.
  • Academic credentials appropriate for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or higher.
  • Possession of, or eligibility for medical licensure in State of New York.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of leadership, educational and clinical achievements, preferably in an academic medical center setting.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Director of Urogynecology and Gynecology Surgical Specialties is responsible for overall day-to-day leadership, direction, operation, and management of the division in accordance with the mission and goals of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Medicine. The Director will be the Co-Director of the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Center which was developed with the Department of Urology. The Director will identify and lead initiatives that involve strategic planning for the division and the future expansion for the sub-specialty of Urogynecology as a programmatic area of focus. It is expected that the Director will work with the Department of Urology in the planning and development of a joint fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
