The Department of Technology and Society mourns the death of Professor David L. Ferguson, its chairman from 2002 to 2017. We are deeply affected by his sudden absence. The unexpected loss of Dave’s uplifting presence is unfathomable for DTS students, staff, and colleagues, family and friends, as well as numerous other people Dave’s life and work has touched near and far. Michael Bernstein, interim President of Stony Brook University, acknowledged Professor Ferguson’s service and contributions for the entire SBU community in the following message. |
