Matthew Cinnirella received his B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University in 2009, his M.A. in English and Creative Writing from Monmouth University in 2012, and his Ed.M. in Higher Education from Rutgers University in 2019. His research is located at the intersection of animal studies, feminist theories of embodiment, biopolitics and deconstruction. Prior to coming to Stony Brook University, Matthew taught at Rutgers for five years and worked in the Division of Student Affairs for three years. In his free time, he can be found watching Lord of the Rings with Duke, his German Shepherd Dog who makes him up in the flesh.
