Visiting Students!

Students attending other colleges and universities frequently enroll in Summer Session classes as non-matriculated students. We recommend that you check with your academic advisor at your home campus about the applicability of the courses you select for your degree program. Need a syllabus for your home institution? Summer enrollment is very affordable; Stony Brook’s tuition is a fraction of the cost of private universities.   Visiting students must apply for non-matriculated status and then contact the English department for permissions to enroll:

High School Students! Get a jump on college credits

If you are a high school student who will complete your junior year in June and your grade point average is 85 or higher, you may enroll in selected introductory (100-level) summer courses as a visiting Summer Sessions student. The Department of English is offering four courses this summer that are open to high school students.
