To provide a more intimate setting then has yet been organized between the prime contractors for the OSW project and a few of the LI based manufacturing and workforce development entities likely to play roles in the project. This is not meant to be a “deep dive” into the rollout of the project, but rather a discussion of requirements and to allow Ørsted and their partner, Eversource, to set realistic expectations as to how we as a region can start planning for the future opportunities. This meeting will touch on work force development but is not meant to be a forum for understanding the educational component and related funding. That will be addressed in future meetings with regional educators.
